New AMSOIL SAE 0W-20 LS Synthetic European Motor Oil was created for applications requiring the BMW LL-17FE+ and Mercedes-Benz 229.71 specifications. It is suitable for turbo and non-turbo engines.

About BMW LL-17FE+ Motor Oil

The BMW LL-17FE+ motor oil standard is a low-SAPS (sulfated ash, phosphorus, and sulfur) formula in the 0W-20 viscosity range. It is suitable for BMW gasoline, hybrid and diesel engines. The LL-17FE+ specification is designed to offer improved fuel economy over motor oils meeting the BMW LL-01 standard. Products meeting the BMW LL-17FE+ spec must meet fuel economy, corrosion protection, detergent and wear control requirements set by BMW.

About MB 229.71 Motor Oil

The MB 229.71 specification was designed for modern Mercedes-Benz gasoline, hybrid and diesel engines. Motor oils meeting 229.71 must be in the 0W-20 range and contain low-SAPS (sulfated ash, phosphorus, and sulfur). The additive package of 229.71 oil must be compatible with Mercedes’s latest emissions components. MB 229.71 engine oil must also meet Mercedes-Benz wear standards, including the ability to withstand the rigors of hybrid-engine use.
