AMSOIL Adds Products And Revamps European Motor Oil Series

AMSOIL has made some significant changes to their synthetic European engine oil series. The main change is the arrival of two new 0W-20 motor oils.

In addition, there are new product names and labels for the existing European motor oil products.

Two New European 0W-20 Motor Oils

AMSOIL has created one 0W-20 for BMW and Mercedes-Benz vehicles and another product for Volkswagen and Audi applications.

AMSOIL SAE 0W-20 LS Synthetic European Motor Oil (product code: AFE) is for applications requiring the BMW LL-17FE+ and Mercedes-Benz 229.71 specifications. It also meets Volvo VCC RBS0-2AE and Fiat 9.55535-GSX specs. This new motor oil is suitable gasoline, hybrid and diesel-powered engines.

Many late-model vehicles (especially BMW) now use 0W-20 motor oil.

AMSOIL SAE 0W-20 LS-VW Synthetic European Motor Oil (product code: EZT) is for late-model Volkswagen and Audi vehicles. This product is for engines requiring the VW 508.00 (gasoline engines) and 509.00 (diesel engines) specifications.

Many newer Audi and VW vehicles now call for synthetic 0W-20 motor oil.

New Names And Labels For The Current AMSOIL European Series

In other news, AMSOIL has shortened up the product names of their existing products for easier brand recognition.

AMSOIL European Car Formula Improved Emissions System Synthetic 5W-30 is now called AMSOIL European LS 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil (product code AEL). The “LS” in the name stands for low-SAPS (sulfated ash, phosphorus, and sulfur). This product covers applications requiring specifications such as VW 504.00/507.00, MB 229.5/229.51, BMW LL-04, Porsche C30 and more.

AMSOIL European Car Formula Improved Emissions System Synthetic 5W-40 is now called AMSOIL European MS 5W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil (product code AFL). The “MS” in the name stands for mid-SAPS (sulfated ash, phosphorus, and sulfur). AFL 5W-40 is for vehicles requiring VW 502.00/505.01, Mercedes-Benz 229.51, BMW LL-04, Porsche A40 and many more industry standards.

AMSOIL European Car Formula Classic Emissions System Synthetic 5W-40 is now called AMSOIL European FS 5W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil (product code EFM). The “FS” in the name stands for full-SAPS (sulfated ash, phosphorus, and sulfur). For VW 502.00/505.00, BMW LL-01, MB 229.5, Porsche A40 and more.

AMSOIL European Car Formula Classic Emissions System Synthetic 0W-40 is now called AMSOIL European FS 0W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil (product code EFO). This is another full-SAPS product. This product is ideal for applications requiring a 0W-40 meeting VW 502.00/505.00, BMW LL-01, MB 229.1/229.3/229.5, Porsche A40 and more.
