As some manufacturers are now suggesting the use of 10W-30 in their diesel engines, AMSOIL has released the API CJ-4 licensed OE 10W-30 Synthetic Diesel Oil. Ford has been recommending 10W-30 for winter operating temperatures in their F-Series diesels for several years now. Caterpillar also advocates this grade for several of their engines.
This 10W-30 joins OE Diesel 15W-40 in the growing OE series. Like the rest of the OE line, OE 10W-30’s drain interval is as suggested by the original equipment manufacturer. OE Diesel oils are a suburb value, considering the outstanding protection they deliver and the low price.
Keep in mind that even though this product meets the latest API CJ-4 specification for 2007 and newer diesel engines, it is certainly “backward compatible” with older diesel engines making this product a great fit in fleet situations.
