What Is “Full-SAPS”?
“SAPS” refers to the engine oil additives Sulfated Ash, Phosphorus and Sulfur. These additives are used to bolster the anti-wear and detergent properties of the engine oil. Some engines are not compatible with “Full-SAPS” engine oils as excessive “SAPS” may foul some emissions equipment and exhaust treatment devices. Your car’s manufacturer has determined which SAPS level is suitable for your car. That is why we also offer a “Low-SAPS” European Motor Oil and a “Mid-SAPS” European Motor Oil.
Each of these products is formulated to provide maximum performance and protection, while offering complete compatibility with emissions components. Check our AMSOIL Motor Oil Application Tool to find the correct engine oil for your European car.
Full-SAPS Formula For Optimum Wear Control
AMSOIL European Formula FS 5W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil is formulated with a robust additive package that provides maximum wear protection for operating conditions typical of European automobiles. Those conditions include extreme heat, turbochargers and extended service intervals.
Formulated For Clean Engine Internals
Hot running engines deposits can generate sludge and varnish. AMSOIL European FS 5W-40’s synthetic base oil and robust additive package is designed to withstand extreme heat and long service intervals, so that deposits do not occur. A clean engine is one that can operate at peak performance and efficiency for many years.
Protection In All Climates
This synthetic 5W-40 engine oil formula offers maximum protection at both ends of the temperature spectrum. As mentioned, it can withstand extreme heat over extended periods. The -39C (-38F) pour point means that your engine receives instant start-up protection during winter start-ups.
Turbo Compatible
AMSOIL European Formula FS 5W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil is designed to withstand the intense heat. It also protects turbochargers and provides resistance to heat-generated deposits.
Service Life
AMSOIL European Formula FS 5W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil is recommended for oil change intervals as stated by the vehicle owner’s manual or as indicated by oil life monitoring systems. Change oil filter at every oil change.
Mixing AMSOIL With Other Brands
AMSOIL European Formula FS 5W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil is compatible with all other brands of conventional and synthetic motor oils. While you can safely mix AMSOIL Synthetic Oil with other brands, this will reduce the drain interval and performance capabilities of AMSOIL oil.
The use of any aftermarket oil additives is definitely not recommended.
