New AMSOIL Arctic Synthetic Grease from Oildepot
AMSOIL has just released a brand new grease designed for easy pumping in severe cold and as most of North America is currently in the grips of one of the coldest winters in recent memory, it seems rather fitting.
New AMSOIL Arctic Synthetic Grease is an NLGI #1 grease that is formulated to pump in temperatures down to -40. If you’ve ever tried to service machinery in freezing winter conditions, you know that conventional grease is very difficult (if not impossible) to pump out of either manual, cordless or air grease guns. Greasing equipment in frigid temperatures can be ineffective, time consuming and may be skipped altogether. New Arctic Grease flows easilly so that servicing is completed faster and much more effectively on the coldest winter days imaginable.
This all-purpose Synthetic Arctic Grease is suitable for general chassis and bearing service in automotive, construction, farm and industrial equipment.
Frequently Asked Questions About AMSOIL Arctic Grease
Question: Can AMSOIL Arctic Grease be used in warm weather?
Answer: Yes. Like most NLGI #1 grade greases, AMSOIL Arctic Grease has a very wide operating temperature range and will provide effective year-round protection. Therefore you do not have to race out to remove this grease as spring and summer arrive. While this grease is designed for easy pumping in cold weather, protection is not compromised during the summer. The exception would be high speed or high temperature applications that specifically require an NLGI #2 grade grease.
Question: What is the operating temperature range of Arctic Grease?
Answer: AMSOIL Arctic Grease has a wide operating temperature range from -59C (-75F) up to +157C (315F). Arctic Grease pumps out of grease guns down to -40C (-40F).

Question: Is AMSOIL Arctic Synthetic Grease the best choice for greasing my snowmobile?
Answer: If ease of pumping in bitter cold temperatures is your primary concern, then Arctic Grease will be a great choice and deliver superb protection. However, our number one grease choice for snowmobiles is still the AMSOIL Water Resistant Synthetic Grease. It provides unbelievable resistance to snow, ice, water spray and mud, while still offering very good cold weather pumping.
Question: Can AMSOIL Arctic Synthetic Grease be mixed with other brands of grease?
Answer: AMSOIL Arctic Grease uses calcium sulfonate thickeners and is compatible with most brands and types of greases. For best results, flush out most of the old grease when switching to and from Arctic Grease. In the remote chance that separation or incompatibility is observed, completely flush the component and re-grease.
