How To Clean Your Backup Camera Lens Without Scratching

When your backup camera lens is covered with winter salt spray or summer dust and dirt, this important safety feature can be rendered all but useless. If you are in between car washes and need to restore rear-view vision, the fastest and safest way is to give it a few squirts with plain water from a spray-bottle.

We don’t recommend any methods that involve wiping with a cloth or Q-Tip with Windex. In our opinion, any contact can potentially scratch the lens.
