Marcel Irnie World Superbike Pit & Racing Videos from Utah
During the course of the 2012 racing season, superbike racer Marcel Irnie of Kelowna, BC journeyed into Northern California and Utah for a couple of reasons. The primary reason was to compete, but the other also to be a spectator and pit reporter at the FIM World Superbike Championship round held at Miller Raceway near Salt Lake City. He has produced two new videos chronicling this trip.
In the first video, we see Marcel (armed with his pit pass and GoPro camera) stroll through the pits to get close-up shots of the world’s fastest motorcycles and mingle with riders and pit workers for the World SBK and AMA Pro series’. Marcel also manages to seek out and engage many of the countless lovely ladies that are common to that scene. Grab a coffee and enjoy the tour!

In this next video, we see the aftermath of an ugly crash that dinged up Marcel and his new BMW S1000RR in a Northern California race. Marcel scrambles to procure parts and complete repairs in order to compete in an event in Utah. He makes the event, but then grapples with more breakdowns and mechanical gremlins. In Marcel’s inimitable film-making style, we experience all the travails and exciting on-board race action.
