Video: Motorcycle Racers Collide at 100 MPH
AMSOIL-sponsored motorcycle road racer Marcel Irnie just sent us the on-board video from his first race of the year. Marcel attended the Washington State series opener near Kent, WA and the weekend had an unfortunate conclusion for him and another racer. A pin securing a front-brake-pad on Irnie’s bike backed out which allowed the pad to fall out of the caliper. Unfortunately this wasn’t discovered until he reached for the brakes while bearing down on another rider at 100 mph. Marcel broke his hand in the mishap, while the other rider suffered a shoulder injury. It could have certainly been far worse.
