Ski-Doo Brings Turbo To The Trail

Ski-Doo has added a serious dose of excitement to the MXZ series for 2024. They now offer the option of the 180 horsepower 850 E-TEC Turbo R engine in the MXZ X-RS model. This engine was first introduced in the Freeride mountain sleds. Instead of adding the extra weight of an intercooler, Ski-Doo took a more novel approach. A mixture of water and methanol is injected into the intake to cool the air as it enters the cylinders. This allows for more air volume to enter the cylinders, thereby maximizing power output.

Other 2024 Ski-Doo Line-up Changes

Here are the other changes of note for ‘24. The REV Gen5 chassis has been added to several 4-stroke and 600cc two-stroke models. The Backcountry series gets the cMotionX rear suspension. The Renegade line is shifting almost entirely to four-stroke engines. The Freeride models get a series of chassis refinements for improved handling.

This full synthetic two-stroke oil can replace Ski-Doo/XPS 2T Snowmobile Synthetic Oil, XPS 2T Snowmobile Synthetic-Blend Oil or XPS 2T Snowmobile Premium Mineral Oil. Can be used in oil-injection systems or premix.

AMSOIL Formula 4-Stroke 0W-40 Synthetic Oil
A full-synthetic engine oil for Ski-Doo 4-stroke engines. Suitable for ACE 600, ACE 900, ACE 900 Turbo and ACE 900 Turbo R motors. A great substitute for XPS 4T 0W-40 Synthetic Oil. A cold-pour-point of -60°F means instant engine protection during cold-starts. AMSOIL delivers dependable engine protection and is safe for turbochargers.
