Marcel Irnie Scores Podium in Calgary

AMSOIL-sponsored road racer and Kelowna BC AMSOIL Dealer Marcel Irnie scored a hard-earned third place in the second round of the Parts Canada Superbike series Armour Bodies Amateur 600 Sport Bike Class at Race City Motorsports Park in Calgary. For his effort he also earned the Performance Under Gear Performer of the Race Award. As usual, Marcel recorded his performance with his tank-mounted video camera. This round will be televised on TSN on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern, and again on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 4:00 a.m. Eastern.

Marcel is making a splash in this prestigious national series and as he has only been racing for a couple of years, this performance shows the he has the talent to move up to the pro class in the coming seasons. Marcel will be competing at a regional race in Calgary and then on to more Parts Canada national rounds in Mosport, ON and Shubenacadie, NS in the coming weeks.
