AMSOIL has reformulated their Signature Series Fuel-Efficient Synthetic ATF to meet the General Motors Dexron HP specification. The new Dexron HP formulation will become available once the previous formula has sold off. The new Dexron HP formula is projected to be on sale some time in May 2016. About The GM 8L90 8-Speed Transmission

As the industry is trending rapidly toward 8-speed (and larger) transmissions, GM designed and built the 8-speed Hydra-Matic 8L90 automatic transmission for the 2015 model year. Like several other modern transmissions, the Hydra-Matic 8L90 eight-speed automatic does not have a top-fill plug or dipstick. Fluid can only be added through a plug on the lower side of the unit.
