AMSOIL Synthetic Polymeric Off-Road Grease Test Video

AMSOIL has produced a new video demonstrating the “pound-out” resistance of AMSOIL Synthetic Polymeric Off-Road Grease. As there is no ASTM test for pound-out resistance, the company developed their own testing apparatus: the AMSOIL Grease Impact Simulator. The video shows AMSOIL Regional Sales Manager Rob Stenberg and Product Specialist Matt Morgan demonstrating this simulator by testing the AMSOIL Polymeric Grease as well as a bevy of competitors. These include Caterpillar Ultra 5 Moly, Phillips Megaplex XD5, Bobcat Supreme HD, Case Moly Grease and Valvoline Palladium.

The visual results from this test are quite compelling. The AMSOIL Synthetic Polymeric Off-Road Grease is fortified with 5% molybdenum disulfide (moly) and was developed to meet the requirements for Caterpillar® pin and bushing applications as well as many other heavy equipment applications.
