Oildepot offers Pre-Filters for AMSOIL EaAR Carbureted Engine Air Filters and EaAU Universal Air Induction Filters. Protect open air filter elements from getting clogged with dirt, mud and other large debris. Also provides protection for open filter elements used in winter.

These tailor-made air filter covers are designed for an exact fit on your AMSOIL EaAR carb air filter or EaAU cold-air kit filter. They are custom-built to fit tightly and stay put. See the application chart at the bottom of this page to find a pre-filter for your model.

Does Your Air Filter Need a Pre-Filter?

You can well imagine that allowing an open air filter element to get caked with dirt, mud, sand and snow is not good for performance. For off-roaders or racers that frequently expose their air filters to this type of debris, an AMSOIL Pre-filter is a smart investment.

About AMSOIL Air Filter Covers

These air filter covers are made with a mesh material that repels dirt and debris. As the pores on this material are only 127 microns (0.005 inch), larger items are simply repelled by the filter cover. Several AMSOIL Pre-filter Covers are coated with a water repellent coating to keep air filters dry. These models shed water, but are not waterproof.

Does Not Affect Performance

AMSOIL EaPF Pre-filter Covers will not reduce engine performance. AMSOIL Ea Filters are designed to deliver high air volumes with plenty of capacity in reserve, so adding the Pre-Filter cover will not affect engine output. Preventing the air filter from getting packed with debris will certainly maintain engine performance.

How to Clean the AMSOIL Pre-Filter

Carefully shake off dirt/debris as needed. For complete cleaning, uninstall the pre-filter from the air filter and wash in a tub of warm water and mild detergent. Allow to dry in open air before re-installing.

How Often Should I Clean My AMSOIL Ea Pre-Filter Cover?

Competition or Off-Road
Clean or inspect after every event or as needed.

Street Use
Inspect every 3000 miles (5000km) or sooner under harsh conditions and clean as necessary.

AMSOIL Ea Pre-Filters should be replaced at the first sign of tearing, wear or damage.
