AMSOIL Super Shift Synthetic Racing SAE 10W ATF is a Ford “Type F”, Allison “C-4″ transmission oil for extreme horsepower applications. Super Shift fights transmission slippage and delivers maximum torque transfer in race cars, off-road vehicles, monster trucks and some van/bus applications.
Suitable Applications for AMSOIL Super Shift ATF
AMSOIL Super Shift is suitable ONLY for applications requiring the specifications listed below in transmissions that have not been modified from their original design. Super Shift ATF is NOT suitable for street vehicles requiring any other automatic transmission specifications under any circumstances. Super Shift ATF’s non-slip frictional properties will create irregular shifting and excessive noise in transmissions requiring other ATF specifications. Super Shift limits metal-to-metal contact along with bearing and clutch wear. Super Shift also contains serious anti-foaming agents as the development of foam can accelerate wear.
Super Shift ATF Reduces Operating Temperatures
The thermally stable synthetic formula lowers transmission temperatures by up to 50° F, so you can run hard all day. When transmission temperatures spiral out of control, performance is compromised, wear can accelerate and deposits can start to form. You’ve got better things to do than fret over the transmission temp gauge. Super Shift Synthetic ATF lets you concentrate on the task at hand and save money on extended component life.
Reduces Deposits
Lesser Ford Type F ATF’s begin to degrade when exposed to extreme heat and heavy loads. The result is the formation of varnish and deposits which will negatively affect transmission performance. AMSOIL Super Shift Synthetic Racing ATF runs cooler and its synthetic makeup is resistant to deposit formation. A clean transmission runs cooler and functions consistently.

AMSOIL Super Shift Synthetic Racing ATF boasts a cold pour point of -49C (-56F), so operation in extreme cold is not compromised. Even if your transmission is not operated in extreme cold, this attribute provides instant oil flow at start up and a transmission that is ready to perform when you start out.
Rust and Corrosion Prevention
Many off-road and racing vehicles spend much of their life in long-term storage. Super Shift ATF contains generous anti-rust/corrosion additives to keep transmission internals pristine during extended periods of inactivity.
Mixing AMSOIL Super Shift Synthetic Racing ATF with Other Brands
AMSOIL Super Shift Synthetic Racing ATF is compatible with other Ford Type F or Allison C-4 transmission fluids regardless of whether they are conventional, semi-synthetic or synthetic oil. While you can safely mix AMSOIL Super Shift with other brands, this will reduce the drain interval and performance capabilities.
The use of any aftermarket oil additives with this AMSOIL product is definitely NOT recommended.
