AMSOIL 15W-40 Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel & Marine Motor Oil is an elite formula that offers world-class performance and protection for your diesel engines. AMSOIL AME 15W-40 is designed to vastly outperform other synthetic and regular diesel oils.

This 15W-40 diesel motor oil is suitable for applications requiring the API CI-4+ specification and older specifications released prior to CI-4+. It is not suitable for applications requiring the API CJ-4 specification and is not compatible with late-model exhaust treatment devices. Refer to “Applications” below.

A diesel engine oil with extended drain properties has to soot control and maintain clean engine internals. AMSOIL 15W-40 Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel & Marine Motor Oil contains generous amounts of detergents and dispersants that keep soot neutralized and in suspension. A clean engine runs efficiently and performs to its full potential while preventing soot-related wear.

Improves Mileage

AMSOIL AME 15W-40’s synthetic formula is designed to reduce friction. This leads lower fuel consumption, lower wear and optimum performance.

Less Oil Usage

Mixing AMSOIL Synthetic Diesel Oil with Other Brands

AMSOIL 15W-40 Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel & Marine Motor Oil is compatible with all other brands of conventional and synthetic engine oils. While you can safely mix AMSOIL Synthetic Oil with other brands, this will reduce the drain interval and performance capabilities of AMSOIL oil.

The use of any aftermarket oil additives is definitely not recommended.

Service Life

AMSOIL 15W-40 Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel & Marine Motor Oil is recommended for extended drain intervals in unmodified, mechanically sound diesel and gasoline-fueled vehicles.

Diesel Engine Oil Life Recommendations

Up to three times the oil change interval as recommended by your owner’s manual. Must not exceed 50,000 miles (80,000 km) or 600 hours or one year, unless backed with oil analysis.

Note: When using 5% biodiesel (B5), follow the manufacturer’s oil change interval or support with oil analysis.

Gasoline Engine Oil Life Recommendations

• Normal Service(1) – Up to 25,000 miles (40,000 km) or one year, whichever comes first.
• Severe Service(2) – Up to 15,000 miles (24,000 km) or one year, whichever comes first.

(1) Personal vehicles frequently traveling greater than 10 miles (16 km) at a time and not operating under severe service.
(2) Turbo/supercharged engines, commercial or fleet vehicles, excessive idling, vehicles with more than 100,000 miles (160,000 km) without prior continuous use of AMSOIL motor oil, daily short-trip driving less than 10 miles (16 km), frequent towing, snow-plowing, hauling or dusty condition driving.

Note: When using gasoline with an ethanol content of greater than 10%, follow the manufacturer’s oil change interval or support with oil analysis.
