This SAE 30/10W-30 synthetic diesel oil is suitable for applications requiring the API CI-4+ specification and older specifications released prior to CI-4+. It is not suitable for applications requiring the API CJ-4 specification and is not compatible with late-model exhaust treatment devices. Refer to “Applications” below.

AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil is a powerful formula that is suitable for diesel engines requiring a straight SAE 30 or 10W-30. The robust synthetic formula contains no viscosity index improvers, so it resists shearing and boil-off under hot operating conditions and heavy loads, qualifying it as straight 30 weight. Yet it flows down to -36C for outstanding cold-start protection and qualification as a 10W-30. AMSOIL ACD Synthetic Diesel Oil saves money by improving fuel economy and extending oil change intervals.

Long Service Life

This synthetic diesel oil is overbuilt for ultra-long drain intervals with a service life of up to 3 times the OEM-recommended drain interval. AMSOIL syntheic diesel oil delivers maximum wear control and clean engine internals for the duration of the oil’s service life. Safely extend service intervals, while saving money on maintenance and reducing the amount of waste oil to handle.

Clean Engine Internals

A diesel engine oil capable of long service life has to control soot and keep engine internals clean. AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil is loaded with detergents and dispersants that keep soot neutralized and in suspension. A clean engine is an efficient one and is able to perform at full capacity, while preventing soot-related wear.

Lowers Fuel Consumption

AMSOIL ACD SAE 30/10W-30’s synthetic makeup is designed to minimize friction. This leads to lower fuel consumption, improved wear control and better overall performance.

Reduces Oil Consumption

AMSOIL’s SAE 30 synthetic diesel oil is shear stable and resistant to extreme heat. The low volatility means that less oil “boil-off” occurs and the original viscosity range is maintained.

Mixing AMSOIL Synthetic Diesel Oil with Other Brands

AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil is compatible with all other brands of conventional and synthetic engine oils. While you can safely mix AMSOIL Synthetic Oil with other brands, this will reduce the drain interval and performance capabilities of AMSOIL oil.

The use of any aftermarket oil additives is definitely not recommended.

Service Life

AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil is recommended for extended drain intervals in unmodified, mechanically sound diesel and gasoline-fueled vehicles.

Diesel Engine Oil Life Recommendations

Up to three times the oil change interval as recommended by your owner’s manual. Must not exceed 50,000 miles (80,000 km) or 600 hours or one year, unless backed with oil analysis.

Note: When using 5% biodiesel (B5), follow the manufacturer’s oil change interval or support with oil analysis.

Gasoline Engine Oil Life Recommendations

Normal Service(1) – Up to 25,000 miles (40,000 km) or one year, whichever comes first.
Severe Service(2) – Up to 15,000 miles (24,000 km) or one year, whichever comes first.

(1) Personal vehicles frequently traveling greater than 10 miles (16 km) at a time and not operating under severe service.
(2) Turbo/supercharged engines, commercial or fleet vehicles, excessive idling, vehicles with more than 100,000 miles (160,000 km) without prior continuous use of AMSOIL motor oil, daily short-trip driving less than 10 miles (16 km), frequent towing, snow-plowing, hauling or dusty condition driving.

Note: When using gasoline with an ethanol content of greater than 10%, follow the manufacturer’s oil change interval or support with oil analysis.
