AMSOIL commissioned a third-party lab to conduct wear testing on this product. Using the Detroit Diesel DD13 Engine Scuffing Test protocol, AMSOIL 15W-40 Commercial-Grade Diesel Oil scored two times better than the minimum wear standard. The Detroit Diesel DD13 test measures a diesel oil’s ability to resist piston ring and cylinder bore wear.

All-Climate Semi-Synthetic Formula

As this product’s base is comprised of over half synthetic oil, it performs very well across the temperature spectrum. The -36°C (-33°F) cold-pour point allows for fast oil flow at start-up.

The powerful chemistry of this product resists volatility boil-off and viscosity break-down. The result is a strong resistance to oil consumption and consistent wear control throughout the entire service interval.

Service Life Of AMSOIL 15W-40 Commercial-Grade Diesel Oil

Change AMSOIL 15W-40 Commercial-Grade Diesel Oil at the interval suggested by the owner’s manual or as indicated by oil life monitoring systems. Service intervals can be extended when employing oil analysis recommendations. Install a new oil filter at every oil change.

Mixing AMSOIL 15W-40 Commercial-Grade Diesel Oil With Other Brands

AMSOIL 15W-40 Commercial-Grade Diesel Oil is compatible with all other brands of conventional, semi-synthetic and synthetic diesel engine oils. While you can safely mix this product with other brands, this will reduce the drain interval and performance capabilities of AMSOIL diesel oil.

The use of any aftermarket diesel oil additives is definitely NOT recommended.
