Updated Bulletin: Flat Tappet Cams & Motor Oil Zinc Content
AMSOIL has updated a technical service bulletin outlining the importance of zinc and phosphorus content in motor oil used in engines with flat tappet camshafts. The bulletin, TSB: Flat Tappet and Camshaft Lobe Lubrication also lists the AMSOIL synthetic motor oils that are ideal for flat tappet cam engines and publishes the actual zinc dialkyldithiophosphate (ZDDP) and phosphorus levels of each applicable motor oil.
