For Applications Where a Gear Lube Thicker Than 75W-90 is Desired
Fits in between 75W-90 & 75W-140Severe Gear 75W-110 package sizes include: 1-Quart Bottles (or buy case of 12) 5-Gallon Pail 16-Gallon Keg 30-Gallon Drum 55-Gallon Drum
Why is there a “75W-110” Gear Lube?
If your vehicle specifies the use of 75W-90 gear oil in your differentials, but is used for very heavy towing or hauling, Severe Gear Synthetic 75W-110 may be a viable option. It provides better fuel efficiency than a 75W-140 gear lube, but still offers an extra measure of protection over 75W-90 gear lubes.
Features and Benefits of AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-110 Synthetic Oil

Maximum Wear Protection for Heavy Hauling
AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-110 contains the elite anti-wear package and extreme pressure ingredients only found in the Severe Gear series. This oil protects from extreme loads, all day hauling and searing heat. You can rest assured that you are installing world-class wear protection.
Amazing Winter Performance
Severe Gear Synthetic 75W-110 boasts an amazing cold-pour-point of -46C (-51F). Oil moves to vital parts immediately and winter efficiency and performance is not compromised.
Prevents Heat Deterioration
Under heavy loads and extreme heat, conventional gear oil can start to deteriorate quite rapidly. AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-110’s synthetic formula is designed to lower friction, so operating temperatures stay under control. Severe Gear’s viscosity will remain stable, so wear protection is steady and sure during long days and over extended service periods. The thicker 75W-110 viscosity offers an extra measure of protection over 75W-90.
Reduced Friction Improves Efficiency
Aside from cooler operation, the other benefit of reduced friction is optimized efficiency. Using synthetic oil in components like differentials is a means toward improving overall fuel economy. The 75W-110 viscosity also offers lower resistance compared to 75W-140 gear lubes.
Synthetic Gear Lube Will Prevent Leaks
AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-110 conditions seal materials which prevents drying, cracking and shrinkage. Seals are maintained over the life of Severe Gear and this is helpful for vehicles that log big miles and those that are stored for long periods.
Limited Slip Differentials: Is Installing an Additive Necessary?
AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-110 does contain friction modifiers for limited slip differentials, but there are instances where differential noise can occur. As a preventative measure, we recommend adding roughly two-thirds of a bottle of AMSOIL Slip-Lock Limited-Slip Additive or a comparable OEM limited-slip differential additive.

Mixing AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-110 with Other Brands
AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-110 Synthetic Oil is compatible with all other brands of conventional, semi-synthetic and synthetic gear oils. While you can safely mix AMSOIL Severe Gear with other brands, this will reduce the drain interval and performance capabilities of AMSOIL gear oil.
The use of any aftermarket oil additives (other than friction modifier additives for limited-slip differentials) is definitely NOT recommended.
Applications for AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-110 Synthetic Oil
This product is ideal for applications suggesting the following industry specifications where a 75W-110, 75W-90, 80W-90 or 85W-90 is specified:

Service Life of AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-110 Synthetic Oil
Note: These service intervals do not apply in situations where water immersion occurs. Severe Gear 75W-110 must be changed frequently under these conditions.
Change at 100,000 miles (160,000 km) or the interval as prescribed by the OEM (whichever is longer).
Change at 50,000 miles (80,000 km).
*Severe service can be described as racing, frequent towing, snow-plowing, hauling or frequently dusty conditions.
Heavy Duty Class 8 Truck
Change at intervals up to 250,000 miles (400,000 km) or follow the OEM recommendation for synthetic oil (whichever comes first).
Heavy Duty Off-Road
Change at intervals up to 120,000 miles (190,000 km) or follow the OEM recommendation for synthetic oil (whichever comes first). If these recommendations do not apply, change at twice the OEM oil change interval for conventional oil.
