Can AMSOIL 5W-50 Replace Polaris PS-4 Extreme Duty 10W-50?

No problem at all. Remember that both oils are in the 50 weight range at operating temperatures. The reason that Polaris opts for a 10W-50 in some of their models in hot temperatures is that they are concerned about their oil shearing down in extreme heat. Oil shearing is not a risk this robust AMSOIL formula. AMSOIL  5W-50 ATV Oil offers the very latest in synthetic oil technology. There is no doubt that this product will easily handle applications where Polaris PS-4 Extreme Duty 10W-50 is suggested.
