AMSOIL has released a new synthetic motor oil that meets the latest Volkswagen 504.00/507.00 performance specification, as well as the Mercedes Benz 229.51, BMW LL-04, Porsche C30 and ACEA A3/B3, A3/B4 specs. AMSOIL European Car Formula 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil (product code: AEL) was formulated for gasoline and direct-injection diesel engines requiring a low viscosity motor oil.
The additive package in “AEL” 5W-30 contains low amounts of sulfated ash, phosphorus and sulfur or “SAPS”. The reason being is that high amounts of these additives can foul modern exhaust treatment devices. This product is compatible with diesel particulate filters (DPFs). “DPFs” are a relatively new addition to diesel engines. They are literally an extra filter in the exhaust stream that removes soot and particulate matter, thereby dramatically lowering emissions. Motor oils with older formulations can potentially contribute to plugging these filters and the result can be poor mileage, performance and an expensive repair bill.
AEL 5W-30 wasn’t formulated to just meet these stringent specifications, it also has the attributes one would expect from a high-performance synthetic motor oil. AEL optimizes performance and protects high-end European engines (including turbocharged units) over the entire temperature spectrum.
For European gasoline and diesel applications requiring Volkswagen 502.00, 505.00, 505.01, Mercedes Benz 229.31, 229.51, BMW LL-04 (and much more), look to the AMSOIL European Car Formula Synthetic 5W-40 Motor Oil (product code: AFL). AFL has been a proven performer for European car owners since for several years.
