Canadian Price Discount to be Extended Through February

For the past few months, AMSOIL has been offering instant discounts to Canadian customers to compensate for the strength in our currency versus the US dollar. For February they have pegged this discount at 5%. This will appear on each and every invoice as a line item titled “Purchase and Freight Discount”. These discounts will cease on March 1st as a revised price list will take effect. Here is the statement from the company:

In an effort to continue to provide a real time solution to the ongoing fluctuations in the currency exchange between the U.S. and Canadian dollars, AMSOIL is once again offering a discount for all Canadian orders during the month of February, 2008. The discount rate for February has been set at 5%. This means that all Canadian orders placed February 1st through February 29th 2008, will automatically receive the 5% discount. As was the case in November, December and January, this discount will appear on each and every invoice as a line item titled “Purchase and Freight Discount”.

Note: You will be receiving new price lists with adjusted prices in your February Action News magazine. These adjusted prices will be taking effect beginning March 1st, 2008. As a result, the discount program for Canadian customers will be eliminated at that time unless there is another significant fluctuation in the exchange rates. This will be the second consecutive price adjustment in which AMSOIL has taken into account the exchange rate when determining Canadian prices. Last October, U.S. Prices increased while Canadian prices remained unchanged.
