New Injen Air Intakes for Gasoline Applications
Update: We no longer carry INJEN products.
The alliance between Injen Technology Inc. and AMSOIL has produced 15 new cold-air performance intake systems for many popular gasoline applications. These are a welcome addition to the 3 intakes for diesel pick-ups released earlier this year. Like the diesel intake systems, these units are dyno tuned and constructed with top-shelf components. Each unit sports an AMSOIL Ea nanofiber filter, T6 aluminum intake tubes (rather than plastic), tig welded ports and brackets and stainless steel clamps. The dry Ea filter media makes these systems especially attractive. Many aftermarket intake systems utilize “oiled-cotton gauze” filters. This type of filter breathes well but are notoriously poor at filtering fine dirt and dust. When checking out used oil analysis reports, we can generally spot which customers are using this type of filter. The reports almost always show elevated dirt and dust (silicon) and this usually brings higher wear metal numbers as well. Oiled air filters also bring the high risk of filter oil migrating downstream and contaminating the mass airflow sensor. The dry Ea media is cleanable and reusable. This media is not only efficient, it is also very breathable. The 360° accordion style filter elements provide 500% more surface area over stock filters. The revolutionary nanofiber media provides optimum air flow even as it gets dirty. They also bring a killer custom look to your ride. Among the applications offered is some of the first intake systems on the market for 2008 Mustang and some 2008 Jeep models. Also offered are systems for numerous GM, Ford and Dodge applications as well for some Nissan and Toyota models.
