AMSOIL Upgrades Saber Professional 2-Stroke Premix Oil Formula
AMSOIL has upgraded the formula of Saber Professional 2-Cycle Premix Oil for 2014. The biggest perceptible change (aside from the spiffy new label) is the addition of a gasoline stabilizer component to the premix oil. We also note from the specification numbers that they have tweaked the formula throughout.
We have been using Saber Pro in our 2-stroke equipment for several years and can confidently attest that the previous formula was a world-beater to begin with. The fuel stabilizer addition is a solid move that makes this product a complete package.
The biggest selling feature of Saber Pro is something that is not new. With this synthetic premix, you can safely mix one batch of fuel/oil for every two-stroke implement you own. Saber Pro mixed anywhere from 75:1 to 100:1 will IMPROVE the performance and wear protection of engines requiring mix ratios of 20:1 through 100:1. This has been true since AMSOIL first released a synthetic premix oil in the mid-1970’s. This is tried and true technology.
Less Oil- Better Protection?
How does that work? AMSOIL uses a 100% synthetic base oil that can deliver up to six times the film strength of conventional oil. That is serious engine protection and that’s why we feel far more confident using Saber Pro at 80:1 than we ever would using regular premix oil at 50:1. The improved throttle response, clean engine internals and reduced exhaust smoke are wonderful bonuses.
