AMSOIL Takes On Big Names in API CJ-4 Diesel Comparison

Since its release, AMSOIL “DEO” Premium API CJ-4 Synthetic 5W-40 Diesel Oil has received terrific customer reviews from late-model diesel owners. Never resting on their laurels, AMSOIL enlisted one of their large commercial customers to participate in a 14-month field test pitting “DEO” against the biggest brands in the industry. These included Shell Rotella T6, Mobil Delvac 1 ESP, Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme & Chevron Delo 400 LE.

The oils were tested with the cooperation of refuse hauling company Nordic Waste of Duluth MN. The oils were consecutively tested in a truck equipped with a 7.6L Navistar DT466 engine. Many of you may know that this engine employs the engine oil to actuate the fuel injectors which puts an extra strain on the oil. Not only that, the truck was put through its paces for 12 hour days in the steep hills of Duluth. If you’ve ever been to this region, you’ll understand how arduous each day would be.
