It is
difficult to drain all of
the fuel from equipment
before storage, and doing so
would expose the system to
other problems, including
the formation of rust and
corrosion on the bare metal
in the tank and fuel system
and the drying and cracking
of gaskets and seals. Some
fuels are pre-treated with
oxidation inhibitors that
allow them to be stored for
short periods without
forming excessive deposits,
while other fuels have no
inhibitors at all.

- Suitable for all
gasoline-powered equipment.
- Keeps fuel from
deteriorating during storage, allowing easier
start-ups.
- Prevents the formation of
varnish and gum in fuel systems and storage
tanks.
- Ideal for all two- and
four-cycle engines including motorcycles,
snowmobiles, boats, ATV's, tillers, mowers, car,
trucks, snow-blowers, chainsaws, generators and
more.
During
periods of inactivity, and
as a result of fluctuations
in ambient temperatures,
water vapour can form
condensate within the
engine. When this condensate
comes into direct contact
with steel and iron
components, it forms surface
corrosion on cylinder
liners, piston rings,
anti-friction bearings and
steel/iron contact surfaces
on rotational seals. Long
periods of storage can also
dry out cylinders, often
resulting in permanent
damage when the equipment is
taken out of storage and dry
started. In addition, fuel
within stored equipment
tends to oxidize and form
varnish and sludge deposits
that clog injectors, fuel
lines and carburetors, stick
floats and cause poor engine
performance, starting
problems, increased
maintenance expenses and
decreased equipment life.
Treat rate is one
ounce with every 2.5 US gallons
(9.5L)
of fuel. One bottle treats
40 US gallons (150L). Run engine with
treated fuel for 4 to 5
minutes.
During
extended storage, also use
AMSOIL Engine Fogging Oil
to prevent internal engine
component rust and
corrosion. This two-step
process will ensure
post-storage start-up and
extend equipment life.
